Ever since we entered the lockdown on the 24th of March 2020, we have come a long way in helping each other during these difficult Covid 19 phase that we all are impacted by. Together, we have been fighting globally and at the national and local levels to help in whatever way we can. Out of these battles, a key ongoing one has been our joint efforts as a community to support our Trans Sibilings. There is not much to say other than sincere gratitude for each and every one who is doing their bit in these tough times.

We have been seeing a lot of support and efforts that have come together to help people with food, be it for the Transgender community, or for Construction workers, labour and daily wage people, or for migrant worker, etc. But even with these commendable efforts, there are few essential things we are still missing or are short on such as Medication support and Mental Health support. We also need to try and do more for Freelancers (performance artists, designers, content freelancers, and so on).

At Mist, we have received requests for help from various sources and people and we want to do our best to help us all support those in need and each other. For this purpose, we have come up with a way to help those mentioned and others like them, and we need your help to do this, now more than ever.

We are focusing on two key demographics right now:

1) LGBTQ Artists who are out of income but are still supporting during lockdown by creating free content on social media.

2) The LGBTQ community members who need Medicine and ailment support, but have no way to access it due to lack of funds.

We at Mist want to do our bit in sharing or creating spaces for the artists and paying them for the same. We also want to help people who need essential medicines by sending it to their home using online Apps (while keeping their identity anonymous as desired).
